Don't let me down Maxie

I have an unhealthy obsession.

Maxi skirts. Black jersey maxi skirts.
Actually, I don't see how that's an unhealthy obsession, as to my knowledge there's no calories in a maxi skirt. But there is a whooole load of phatness. Thats pretty much how far my 'gangsta' goes. Cracka.

Just some pretty babies I've had my eye on. Too bad my other eye is on my hand, stopping it from reaching towards my wallet. I knew I should have memorised those credit card numbers earlier. Dagnabbit.

Gretchen, stop trying to make fetch happen.

I couldn't resist posting this, because it made me LOL. Yes wai!

I have an unhealthy obsession with silly girl movies, mainly Mean Girls ("I WANT MY PINK SHIRT BACK!"), and whilst fiddling with the Edit Profile section on Blogger, I thought perhaps it was time for a more relevant picture.
After much uhm-ing and ahh-ing, I did manage to choose one, and of course proceeded to save that bitch.

And do you know the words I saw?
"Fetching profile pic"

So obvs, if one does not obsess over Mean Girls like I did/do, then perhaps this isn't really as funny as you thought it would be.

But if you do ....

Thank you, Blogger, for making me feel purrty.

A common affliction amongst blogger types - neglecting your blog.

... My bad.

I could blame perhaps uni-work, or work-work, but the main reasoning is because I am just very good at procrastinating.
Or as I like to call it, procrastilaxing. It has a much nicer ring to it, yes?

So, I apologise about me hiding in woop-woop, shall we continue?
The bad thing about being in an accidental hiatus is you get out of the swing of things. Even though I have been lurking on all my fave blogs (froth), for the life of me I can't choose what to post about. Wah.
Perhaps, RAFW? How can I not comment on such beautifious (not a word) designs from such talented designers?

Obviously, the one I think got the most attention would be Dion Lees' collection ...
Ahem: Wants.

I get the feeling this picture (courtesy Jak & Jil) has done the rounds on the blogosphere (I hate that word), and yet every time I see it, I do have a mini orgasm. Too much info? Meh, deal.
Sadly, being on the other side of the country, I could not attend RAFW this year *weep*, but rest assured - I will one day! I hope. Please.

Also, got my grubby mitts on the current Vogue Australia, with YAY! Samantha Harris on the cover, looking absolutely froth-worthy. Pictures coming soon? I think so!

Ahh, gotta love an Easter long weekend! Managed to spend some quality time with the boy (lets call him Monty ... ooh yeah, pseudonym!), and had many ridiculous adventures with lovely companions... mostly involving a lot of tasty wine ... Thanky0u to my special friends, Verdelho and Rioja.

Now, onto more serious matters.

Samantha Harris - keep your eyes peeled people (maybe not literally "peeled", that would be counter-productive).

I remember seeing this girl in a magazine when I was about 14, and thinking "Oh, my goodness what ... how ...", and then I died from her beauty. At the time, I didn't get her name, but she kept popping up over the years in small editorials and the like, and now I hear she's going to appear on the cover of Australian Vogue! Thankyou, Kirstie Clements, thankyou.

Gorgeous, simply.

Oh, happy day! After many weeks of perving on these leggings, wishing them to somehow osmose (is that even a word?) into my wardrobe, my brain and my heart finally compromised, and I dutifully ordered these beauties ...

I think I shall marry them.

Made by the wonderfully talented James Lillis, of BlackMilk fame, his pieces make every woman with a shred of instinct swoon. Added bonus, you look like an absolute babe wearing them. Yeah, I said babe, I'm bringin' it back, yo. Unless it's already back and I wasn't aware, then please, ignore my lack of groovy-ness, or whateve it is all the cool kids are saying these days.

I've been following this incredible man for the good part of a year now, having mild fits whenever he brings out something new and loverly, and lucky for us all - in about a week, his new collection shall be arriving! Oh joy, oh rapture! I've been stalking his blog, waiting for perhaps even a snippet of the joy that's to become, mainly because I am so impatient. Seriously, love his work. Swoon.

Woops.
So, I may have made this blog a while ago (key word: while), but hey, I like to let things mature like a fine wine ... until they are ready. Like this blog. And boy, do I like fine, ready wine!

So, yay! First post!
And I wouldn't worry about the name of the blog either, it doesn't mean much, I just thought it was purrdy.
Speaking of lovely things ...

Could you die? Gosh, they look like sleepy, cartoon eyes ... or bored, wouldyoupleasebequietnow eyes ...
Whichever.

Thanks to Ksubi, for giving us whichever eyes.
